Pumpkin Pie

Thanksgiving is 10 days away!  I don't know about you, but for me a Thanksgiving meal isn't complete without good family, friends, and Pumpkin Pie.    Yes I admit it!  I love Pumpkin Pie.      I'm also Gluten Free and come from a family where food allergies are common.  So imagine my dilemma--how to make a Vegan (no eggs or dairy) Gluten Free Pumpkin Pie that people want to eat.   Last year I scoured the internet and Pinterest and stumbled across a blog, Gluten Free Goddess, that had a recipe which met the criteria.  Then I read the reviews, this one had potential.    Then I made the pie.   And yes, it was delicious.  Everyone was happy--no eggs, no dairy, no gluten, and tons of flavor!  In fact, my cousin said it was the best Pumpkin Pie he'd ever eaten.    This year I decided that instead of handwriting the blog name and sending people on a google search, I would write a blog and post the link.  This is my first time posting a link to another

Happy Veteran's Day!

Month of Thanks!

I can't believe that's its already November!  I feel like I'm always saying--time is flying by and it seems to keep speeding up!  It's been a busy few months, filled with many blessings...  A marriage, a honeymoon, a fabulous family and the start of a new family, birthday celebrations, the start of school, fall break, Halloween, and now it's Thanksgiving! For those of you on Facebook, you may have seen the "month of thanks" posts.  In the hustle and bustle of life, its easy to forget to be thankful, to stop and smell the roses, to notice the little things all around us.  Gratitude is contagious!  When we start being grateful for what we have we are blessed with more.  Today I posted about being Thankful for Vision.  My husband woke me up because he dropped his glasses and couldn't find them.  I could have been angry or upset that my sleep was disrupted--instead I was thankful that I've always been blessed with the gift of sight.  On my drive i
