To Give, To Love, To Serve

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, “What are you doing for others?” Martin Luther King, Jr. Today is the day we remember a great man, who used his words and actions to benefit others. Dr. King is a man who worked to change our country, our thoughts, and our beliefs. He was a man who gave out of his own heart, a man who had a dream to make the world a better place. For some, today is a holiday, a day off work. Some will reflect on Dr. King’s life and messages. Some will use it as a Day of Service. For me, today is another day where I can make a difference in the world. One of my “Goals” for 2011 is to do something every day to make a difference. I can do this with a smile, a letter, a note, giving, donating time, service, dollars… Well, one of the ways I intend to make a difference is by giving year round to the local community. For the past 20 years Care More Chiropractic has held a month long food drive for the Atlanta Food Bank. Thanksgiving to Christmas.

Neck Pain after A Fall...

In recent years, it has been reported that between 40 % and 60% of the population experienced an episode of neck or back pain in the previous 3 months. The neck has increased flexibility allowing for motion of the head, however this also means that there is decreased stability and protection in the region. The most common causes of neck pain are a result of are injuries to the soft tissue, muscles and ligaments in the neck. This can be caused by traumas such as car accidents, falls, sports injuries and repetitive motions. A chiropractor is trained to determine and correct most causes of Neck pain. Recently a patient slipped and fell on an ice patch as she was leaving work. Within minutes she had severe neck pain and a headache. She missed a couple of days of work when her best friend recommended Care More Chiropractic. I adjusted her neck and the pain subsided; within a week she was pain free! There is no need for people to suffer through neck pain hoping it will go away. Ch

Feeling Gratitude

“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.” ~William Arthur Ward This was a quote in one of the first e-mails I read this year. As I spent the holiday reflecting on the past year and making plans for this, I saw how easy it is to forget to express my gratitude. I have so much to be grateful for. I have a wonderful job, phenomenal coworkers—our team is the best it’s been in years! I am part of an amazing practice and we have the BEST patients! Our patients have joined my family & friends creating an expansive network of people I care about. I call them my "Care More" family. I was talking to one of my friends whose family is not here—it’s a long plane ride with layovers for her to get home. We were talking and she told me that she knew if she ever needed anything all she needs to do is pick up the phone & I’ll be there! Wow! I am grateful that she told me how much she values and appreciates our friendship. One of my resolutio
