My One Word for 2024

As the dawn of a new year arrives, many of us embark on a quest for personal growth, setting resolutions and intentions that promise a brighter and more fulfilling future. In the tapestry of my aspirations for 2024, one word emerged as the guiding star of my journey: "Habits." In this blog post, I unravel the reasons behind choosing habits as my overarching theme for the year and explore the profound impact it can have on my life. The Power of Consistency: Habits, by their very nature, are a testament to the power of consistency. I've come to realize that the small, seemingly inconsequential actions we repeat daily are the building blocks of the life we lead. Whether it's the discipline of a morning routine, the commitment to regular exercise, or the dedication to lifelong learning, habits are the architects of lasting change. 5 Tips to Successful Resolutions

It’s that time of year—the holidays have come and gone, and people have set their sights on the future.   It’s that time when people start to focus on their New Years Resolutions.   Studies show that just 8% of people actually accomplish their New Year’s Resolution.   If you’re anything like me, you have a long list of failed New Years Resolutions that have fallen by the wayside.   Make 2020 the year that changes!   Here are the 5 tips to make this year different.   Set SMART Goals   A SMART goal is based on an acronym:  Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistc, and Timeframe.  A goal made with these components in mind is a key component to being successful, however this isn’t the only thing.  It takes more than setting a SMART goal to be successful.      2.   Be Committed   Often people say they want to accomplish something, but when the rubber meets the road, they aren’t willing to do what i...

Go Green!

When I think of March I think Green —early signs of spring and St Patrick’s Day.  This year Green has even more significance both at Care More and in my personal life.  Care More is going green—we are well on our way to PAPERLESS!  Need a copy of your receipt?  We can email it to you!  Need to send your information to your accountant?  Yes, our new system will let us email that too!  You’re going to notice new computers in the rooms—as we transition more of our note taking to the new paperless system.   What else has gone Green ?  I now have a green car!  Yes I have a 100% electric car.  No more gas and I park around back so I can charge the car while I’m at work.  With the new commute its not only saving the environment but it’s saving me some Green as well!   And finally there is the garden.  We are building a raised bed garden in the new backyard!  I am so excited that in the coming months there wi...
