Mindset: The Missing Magic

We have set our goals, now what?  What can we do to make sure we are successful?  It’s been my experience that there is one thing that can make or break our goals:  Mindset.  
When I think of mindset and goals, the first thing that comes to mind is the quote, “wether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re probably right.” 

Mindset, belief, faith—call it what you will but it is, what I like to call, the missing magic in goal setting,  

There are also little things that we can do and say that have a huge impact on mindset.  First is the power of our words.  As Yoda says, “Do or do not, there is no try.”  Think about it, when you make a commitment to someone which is the one you’re actually going to do, the one when you say, “I will try and be there”. Or “I will be there.”  The second of course!  When we say try, we are building in an excuse for failure, for not making it happen. 

This parlays beautifully into our goals.  What words are you using when describing your goals?  When you think about them what’s your attitude.  Are you “Trying to” or are you “making it happen.”  Do you Believe in yourself?  Do you really tip you can make it happen, or is there a little voice f doubt in your head. 

Mindset….  

Take a minute and think about your top goal.  You know, the goal that if it is the only one you accomplish, you will be happy.  Now, think about the emotions you will feel when you accomplish that goal.  The pride, the happiness, the joy of knowing YOU DID IT!  

Can you see it?  Can you taste it?  Can you feel victory within your reach???  

Tap into those feelings.  Believe in yourself.  Every day read that goal and remember that feeling…. Have a winning mindset and Go!  Make it happen!  

Remember, It’s never to late to make your dreams come true!
